Supporting the community through volunteer work
Another way my background benefits my clients is my volunteer and community involvement, where I've developed contacts in virtually every aspect of our community. I've always looked for ways to support my community by giving back wherever I can. Some of my Fort St. John community involvement includes:
- Fort St. John & District Chamber of Commerce - 10 years on the Board of
Directors including 2 years as President
- Urban Hope, Chair -This committee worked to improve the quality of life in our
community.
- Greater Fort St. John Marketing Committee - developed the current image & logo for
Fort St. John, "The Energetic City"
- North Peace Cultural Society - 2 years on the Board of Directors
- Stage North Theatre Society - 11 years on the Board of Directors, as well as actor,
director, producer, treasurer
- Theatre BC - 3 years on the Executive Committee
- 2001 BC Festival of the Arts - Fundraising Co-Chair
- Northern BC Winter Games - Volunteer - 1994, 2000, 2007
- BC Northern Real Estate Board - Director - 2007-2009
- Member of the Relocation Committee - N.E.A.T.
- Member of the Board of Directors as well as the Community Investment Committee
of the United Way of Northern BC
