Selling Tips
As with many things in life, people usually appreciate having choices. You will likely not be the only homeowner trying to attract buyers in your price range, so it makes sense to do as much as you can to move yourself to the top of their list. REALTORS® regularly see homes for sale that aren't well prepared and simply don't get the attention they should. Follow these simple tips:
You only get one chance to make a great first impression
The first thing a potential buyer sees is the exterior of your home. A freshly manicured landscape and uncluttered entrance area will help to ensure the first impression is a good one. This applies to the interior as well
Bigger is definitely better!
Removing unnecessary articles from the basement, attic, entrance areas, closets etc. will show the perspective buyer just how much space your home really has.
It's time to brag...show your whole home
Be sure all of the rooms in your home look the best they can. Don't forget the basement, even the unfinished areas. A potential buyer needs to see the potential in your home for their needs.
Win the space race...closets can make a big difference!
Large closets are an important selling feature. Be sure they are uncluttered and neat. If the closet isn't really big, clear out as much €śstuff€ť as you can to give it a spacious feeling.
Bedrooms can make or break a sale
Fresh and Clean! Freshly laundered, bright, cheerful curtains and bedspread will leave a good impression. A prospective buyer wants to imagine their furniture in your rooms€¦make it easy for them.
Bathrooms...they have to be clean!
All of your bathrooms must be clean, clutter-free and bright, but that's just a start. They must also give the perception of being sanitary, so, use a subtle air freshener and shine the chrome, fixtures and mirrors.
